ITBP Head Constable (Motor Mechanic) & Constable (Motor Mechanic / Driver) Recruitment 2012

Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP), New Delhi, has invited applications from male Indian citizens, for recruitment 2012, for the posts of Head Constable (Motor Mechanic) and Constable (Motor Mechanic / Driver). The recruitment details are as follows:

Selection will be made on the basis of candidates’ performance in the exam [which will consist of bilingual written test (objective/narrative questions)], practical trade test and interview, to be conducted by ITBP. Eligibility:

Educational Qualification:
For Head Constable (Motor Mechanic)
  • Should have obtained Matriculation/10th Class from any recognized Education Board
  • Should have obtained certificate in Motor Mechanic from a recognized institution / ITI with 3 years practical experience in the trade in a reputed workshop or 3 years diploma in Automobile Engineering
For Constable (Motor Mechanic)
  • Should have obtained Matriculation/10th Class from any recognized Education Board
  • Should have obtained certificate from any recognized Institution / ITI in Automobile Engineering / Motor Mechanic Trade
For Constable (Driver)
  • Should have obtained Matriculation/10th Class from any recognized Education Board
  • Should possess a valid driving License for Light / Medium / Heavy vehicles with minimum 2 years experience in driving
Age Limit:
For Head Constable (Motor Mechanic) - 19 to 25 years
For Constable (Motor Mechanic) - 18 to 25 years
For Constable (Driver) - 20 to 25 years
 
Note:
(a) Upper age limit is relaxable for SC / ST by 5 years and for OBC by 3 years.
(b) Upper age limit is relaxable for Govt. servant up to 5 years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Government.
(c) Upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years in the following categories:
  • Children and dependent family members of those killed in 1984 riots and riots of 2002 in Gujarat. SC / ST / OBC relaxation as per Govt. instructions will be in addition. Children and dependent family members should produce a certificate to that effect from the Collector of the concerned District where the victim was killed.
  • In case of all persons who had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from January 1, 1980 to December 31, 1989.
(d) Ex-Servicemen: An Ex-serviceman, who has put in not less than six months continuous service in the Armed Forces, shall be allowed to deduct the period of such service from his actual age and if the resultant age does not exceed the prescribed maximum age by more than three years, he shall be deemed to satisfy the condition regarding age limit.

  • The application fee is Rs 50 (for General and OBC candidates), which is to be paid in the form of Central Recruitment Fee Stamp (CRFS) / Indian Postal Order / Crossed DD drawn in favour of “Inspector General, (Northern) Frontier, ITBP, payable at -SBI- IMA Dehradun, Code No - 0739”.
  • The duly filled in and completed applications in all respect, along with affixed passport-size photographs (duly attested by Gazetted Officer), application fee, and enclosures (listed in the website), should be sent to the “Inspector General, (Northern) Frontier, ITBP, Post - Seemadwar, District - Dehradun (UKD), Pin Code - 248146” latest by February 24, 2012.
  • However, the last date for far flung areas like Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh Division of Jammu and Kashmir State, Lahaul-Spiti District and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba District of HP, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep is March 2, 2012.
