SCERT Punjab Announces PSTET 2013

State Council of Education Research & Training (SCERT) Punjab, Ajitgarh / Mohali, has invited applications from eligible, talented and experienced professionals for Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET), for recruitment.
 
Candidates’ appointment is to be done as Class I to Class VIII Teachers. Selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of their performance in Written Examination (Paper I & Paper II) and Personal Interview. In written examination, Paper I is for Class I to Class V teachers, and Paper II is for Class VI to Class VIII teachers. The written examination is scheduled to be held on June 9, 2013. The examination schedule and centre address will be mentioned in the candidates’ admit card.
 
Candidates can register online by visiting the official link of PSTET: http://www.tetpunjab.com/Index.html. Online registration began from April 18, 2013 and will be closed on May 13, 2013. Eligibility:

Educational Qualification:
For Teachers of Classes I-V (Primary Stage)
  • Passed Senior Secondary or its equivalent with minimum 50% marks in aggregate, and passed or appearing in final year of two years of Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), Or
  • Passed Senior Secondary or its equivalent with minimum 45% marks in aggregate, and passed or appearing in final year of two years of Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002, Or
  • Passed Senior Secondary or its equivalent with minimum 50% marks in aggregate, and passed or appearing in final year of four years of Bachelor of Elementary Education (B El Ed), Or
  • Passed Senior Secondary or its equivalent with minimum 50% marks in aggregate, and passed or appearing in final year of two years of Diploma in Education (Special Education), Or
  • Bachelor’s Degree and passed or appearing in final year of two year of Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
For Teacher of Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant discipline, and passed or appearing in final year of two year of Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), Or
  • Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant discipline with minimum 50% marks in aggregate, and passed or appearing in one year of Bachelor in Education (B Ed), Or
  • Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 45% marks in aggregate, and passed or appearing in one year of Bachelor in Education (B Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard, Or
  • Passed Senior Secondary or its equivalent with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and passed or appearing in final year of four year of Bachelor in Elementary Education (B El Ed), Or
  • Passed Senior Secondary or its equivalent with minimum 50% marks in aggregate, and passed or appearing in final year of four year of BA / B Sc Ed or BA Ed / B Sc Ed, Or
  • Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and passed or appearing in one year of B Ed (Special Education)

Application Fee: Rs 500 (Paper I / Paper II) or Rs 1000 (Both Papers): General / BC / OBC candidates
Rs 300 (Paper I / Paper II) or Rs 600 (Both Papers): SC / ST candidates
Exempted for EXS candidates

How To Apply:

  • Willing candidates can fill online application form by visiting the official link of SCERT: http://www.tetpunjab.com/Index.html
  • Online registration began from April 18, 2013 and will be closed on May 13, 2013.
  • After successful submission of the application form, the system will generate a Confirmation Page with unique Registration Number and Challan Copy, which candidates should print out and use it for the further process. 
  • Candidates can pay the application fees (request amount) through Challan, in any branch of HDFC Bank, in the Account No. mentioned on the Challan, or by Debit / Credit Card.
  • Printed Confirmation Page with affixed passport-size photograph & duly signed, along with the Challan Copy, should be send to Post Box No.1828, Post Office, Sector 62, Mohali (Punjab) - 160062, by ordinary post.
  • Candidates should mention “Application For PSTET” on the envelope (size 12 cm x 9 cm) in which the form would be sent.
